Faculty

Welcome Note

The Faculty of Theology and Religious Studies at the Protestant University of Rwanda (PUR) is rooted in the Christian tradition and is dedicated to the holistic formation of leaders who are spiritually grounded, intellectually equipped, and socially engaged. As a key part of the University's mission, our faculty seeks to integrate faith and scholarship in service to the Church and society.

Guided by the values of integrity, compassion, justice, and servant leadership, we aim to prepare students for thoughtful theological reflection and transformative ministry in a complex and rapidly changing world. Our programs are designed to respond to the spiritual and developmental needs of individuals, communities, and institutions both within and beyond the Church.

We offer the following academic programs:

1. Bachelor of Theology and Religious Studies – A comprehensive foundation in biblical studies, systematic theology, church history, and practical ministry.

2. Master of Theology in Community Care and Development – Equipping leaders to address social challenges through a theological and community-based lens.

3. Master of Theology in Christian Ethics and Leadership – Preparing students to engage ethical issues and provide visionary leadership grounded in Christian values.
